Alpine CRX cooling ring Hosokawa Alpine’s cooling system for blown film extrusion consists of its CRX series cooling ring, which provides external cooling, and the Alpine HT cooling tower for inner cooling. The cooling tower’s high volumetric flow guarantees high output.
What’s new? Three additional sizes — the CRX 5, CRX 7 and CRX 10 — introduced at K 2022, as well as Hosokawa Alpine’s optional VarDar post-cooling unit. The VarDar unit provides additional external cooling of the film bubble when producing film prone to blockages. The unit allows for increased output and effectively prevents blocking of the film tube in the take-off. It can be retrofitted to existing systems.
Benefits Increased energy efficiency. The CRX series employs a low-counterpressure system, and that, combined with its fully thermally insulated base body, improves efficiency. The cooling ring’s exceptional air distribution improves film tolerance. The Alpine CRX series is easy to integrate into a cooling system, as it requires only a single cooling air supply line.
