In an effort to get its products to market more quickly, Guill Tool & Engineering Co. opened a rheology lab at its West Warwick, R.I., headquarters. Equipped with a variety of machines — including a hybrid rotational rheometer, a differential scanning calorimeter, and a thermal conductivity meter — the lab can process standard materials and custom formulas as well as mix materials on-site.
As a result, the company now is able to test its customers' materials and work with customers to create extrusion tooling that meets their specific needs.
