    Industry veteran and injection molding expert John Beaumont was inducted into the Plastics Pioneers Association during its fall meeting in mid-October. Beaumont is president of Beaumont Technologies Inc., Erie, Pa., and former program chair of the Plastics Engineering Technology program at Penn State University, Erie, and has authored several books including Runner & Gating Design Handbook and Successful Injection Molding.

Carteaux, who had served the Plastics Industry Association as its president and CEO since 2005, when it was known as the Society of the Plastics Industry, died a few weeks later. In 2022, Seaholm was promoted to helm the organization.
