Makino's five-axis vertical machining center is designed for high-speed finishing of complex specialty dies and molds.

V80S Makino's new five-axis vertical machining center is designed for the high-speed finishing of complex specialty dies and molds with multifaceted contours, such as those for automobile interior-door panels and front grilles. It features a wide-open front door and open-ceiling design.

What's new? The machine, which Makino introduced in September at its 2017 Die/Mold Technology Expo. An evolution of the three-axis VI series, the V80S sports an updated, 20,000-revolutions-per-minute spindle and an improved tilting/rotating axis.

Benefits Rapid cycle times, good surface finishes and reduced need for post-processing manual labor.
