Kontec KSC-F This series of single-acting clamping vises from Schunk Inc. is intended for jobs that require high clamping forces at relatively low torque. Suitable for workpiece clamping during machining, the vises also can be used with palletizing systems and for automated machine loading. The three models — KSC-F 80, KSC-F 125 and KSC-F 160 — have clamping ranges of 7.6 inches, 12.1 inches and 17.1 inches, respectively.
What's new? The series, which debuted last fall at the International Manufacturing Technology Show.
Benefits Durability, efficiency and flexibility. Although the KSC-F series provides high clamping forces, the clamping is done under tension to minimize the bending load at the base body. All models in the series offer 160-degree quick clamping, so a user with a torque wrench can precisely clamp workpieces and lock the vise in less than a second. The vises also feature the Vero-S interface, making them ideal for use with Schunk's quick-change pallet system.
