EDI Ultraflow V-T Nordson's new co-ex feed block features combining planes and a pair of profile bars for fine-tuning the thickness of individual sheet layers. Adjustments to the profile bars can be made without stopping production, simply by turning nuts on the outside of the feed block. The profile bars are available with various surface configurations, including a standard bar with a uniform raised surface and others designed to correct such issues as heavy flow. For coextrusion of more than three layers, additional tuning devices are placed further downstream, where more melt streams join the central structure.
