Haitian expands three injection press lines

Dec. 29, 2015

Chinese injection molding machinery maker Haitian International and its Zhafir Plastics Machinery GmbH subsidiary in Ebermannsdorf, Germany, have expanded the Venus II all-electric, Mars II servo-hydraulic and Jupiter II servo hydraulic product lines.

The company showed new models in each line for the first time at Fakuma.

A 700-ton version was added to the Zhafir Venus II all-electric series, which Haitian says offers a 70 percent energy savings compared with hydraulic machines. The injection press uses Haitian's patented drive system, a pivoted injection unit for rapid screw changes, quick couplings for fast set-up times and modular injection units at various performance levels up to 500mm per second.

A 1,100-ton Venus II machine is scheduled for release this year.

The Mars II eco is a new economy version of the Mars series. The Mars II eco is available with clamping forces of 60 to 530 tons. It has been optimized for energy efficiency. Servo motors ranging from 7.5 kilowatts to 100 kilowatts have direct connections to the gear pump. The series features a twin-cylinder injection unit.

The Jupiter II two-platen series has been expanded with the addition of the Jupiter II plus.

Haitian says the dry-cycle time has been reduced and hydraulic cylinders have been optimized for quick travel movements.
