UltiMaker S8 is faster, more powerful

The FDM 3D printer supports dual extrusion for creating complex parts with multiple materials.

UltiMaker S8 This latest-generation fused-deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printer can print high-strength, high-performance parts with engineering-grade materials. It supports dual extrusion, allowing users to create complex parts with multiple materials in a single job. Features include high-flow print cores, an improved feeder system and the new Cheetah motion planner, which delivers precision of within 0.15 percent of 0.15mm and eliminates the problems that typically occur at high speeds; it is capable of speeds up to around 19.6 inches per second and accelerations up to around 164 feet per square second. 

What’s new? The UltiMaker S8, introduced in March. It features a revamped electronics platform that has five times the processing power of the previous S7 model.
