The Plastics Hall of Fame announced that for the first time, its induction will be held overseas. The ceremony will take place on Oct. 7, 2025 — the night before K 2025 — in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Maureen Steinwall, Hall of Fame president, said, “K in Düsseldorf offers the ideal platform to further promote the internationalization of the Plastics Hall of Fame and to honor individuals from all over the world who have made a special contribution to the international success of the plastics industry.”
The Plastics Hall of Fame, which was launched in 1972 and at first honored only candidates from the United States, began accepting international nominations in 2004. It currently has 235 members from 10 countries. Induction is a recognition of both living and deceased individuals who made major contributions to the plastics industry.
Nominations for the “Plastics Hall of Fame Class of 2025” are now open until late February 2025, at https://plasticshof.org/membership/nominations/.
