Arburg adds to Multilift Select robot line

Jan. 12, 2024
The new model, for use with the company's 270 to 570 injection molding machines, promises faster cycle times and more accurate positioning.

Multilift Arburg’s Multilift Select line of robots is pre-configured to work with certain machine sizes, balancing necessary axis lengths with a compact form.

What’s new? The addition of the Multilift Select 8 vertical linear robotic system, designed for use with Arburg injection molding machine (IMM) models 270 to 570, with clamping forces of about 39 tons to 224 tons. As with other Arburg robotic systems, it uses the same interface as Allrounder IMMs, making programming intuitive for the operators. The robotic system was displayed at Fakuma operating with an Allrounder 520 H. It has a maximum handling weight of 17.6 pounds.

Benefits Faster cycle times and more accurate positioning. The Multilift Select 8 comes standard with an active vibration-compensation capability, which reduces the vibrations of the axes, boosting the robot’s speed and accuracy. It also has a new control cabinet, as well as an inverter with an optional safety function.
