Wittmann Battenfeld Inc., Torrington, Conn., has set a new company record, with sales of more than 80 robots in June.
The company has sold more than 8,000 robots in the U.S. since it began selling robots here in 1986. Worldwide, Wittmann Battenfeld has sold more than 55,000 robots since 1976.
Sonny Morneault, the company’s VP of sales, said that while the company is suffering from the same supply chain issues as other companies, it is working hard to keep up with demand. “One customer recently told us that the struggle to find workers has prompted them to rethink their business model, and they are now looking to deploy robots and automation wherever possible,” Morneault said.
