The GP280L is appropriate for tasks such as machine tending, dispensing, cutting and the handling of heavy components.

GP280L This six-axis robot from Yaskawa is appropriate for tasks such as machine tending, dispensing, cutting and the handling of heavy components. It has a 617-pound payload capacity and repeatability to within plus or minus 0.1mm, which makes it suited for jigless applications, in which the robot positions a part for processing by other robots.

What’s new? An extended reach. The GP280L has a horizontal reach of 10.2 feet and a vertical reach of 11.7 feet. It joins Yaskawa’s GP-series family of robots, which have payload capacities ranging from 15.4 pounds to 1,323 pounds.

Benefits Fast cycle times and versatility. The robot’s very fast axis speeds and acceleration capabilities reduce cycle times for increased productivity. Additionally, its streamlined upper arm allows easy access to parts in tight spaces. Built with complex work cells in mind, the GP280L enables high-density robot placement, as well as easy installation and maintenance.
