Servo pumps make MacroPower more efficient

Dec. 1, 2019
Wittmann Battenfeld compact presses now automatically adjust for displacement volume and motor speed, making them quieter and saving energy.

MacroPower Wittmann Battenfeld’s stable of large molding machines has clamping forces ranging from 400 tons to 2,000 tons. The presses have four tie bars and a two-platen clamping system. The machines are designed to facilitate the installation of a mold using a crane.

What’s new? Servomotor-driven adjustable delivery pumps as standard. Previously, standard MacroPowers came with an asynchronous motor. At K 2019 in Germany, an updated MacroPower 1100, with about 1,200 tons of clamping force, molded PP into a seat bench for a sports car.

Benefits Improved energy efficiency. With their servo design, the pumps can automatically adjust for displacement volume and motor speed, making the MacroPower machines more energy-efficient. In addition, the pumps are quiet. Overall, the compact presses are designed for precision and user-friendliness.
