Medical extrusion systems gain Navigator controls

Dec. 1, 2019
American Kuhne extruders come with touch-screen displays, and support remote troubleshooting and connectivity to data collection systems.
Medical extrusion systems American Kuhne’s line of compact extruders work with a variety of resins, such as PEEK, polyetherimide and fluroropolymers, and can produce a diverse range of products, including multilayer tubing, micro-tubing and spiral-reinforced tubing.

What’s new? Navigator control systems. The XC100 control works with standalone extruders, the XC200 can handle one or more extruders running simultaneously, and the XC300 has the power to run integrated production lines with multiple auxiliary components. Originally developed for Graham Engineering’s blow molding systems, Navigator is now offered on American Kuhne’s medical extruders and extrusion systems.

Benefits Flexibility. Using the Navigator control is intuitive and the real-time graphical display helps shorten the learning curve for operators. All come with a Beckhoff touch-screen display and support remote troubleshooting and connectivity to data-collection systems.
