The printer, which comes with a standard-resolution camera, uses optical character recognition, or OCR, and bar-code verification to inspect and track labels measuring up to 4 inches by 6 inches. As an option, full-label inspection for in-process verification of text, bar codes and print quality is available; inspection capabilities also can be increased to accommodate labels as big as a 6 inches by 9 inches. Additionally, Acquire Automation offers a feature that allows operators to directly download an image and select key areas of the graphic for inspection.
