FRA This new series of take-out robots from Yushin is equipped with a number of patent-pending features, including active vibration control, arc motion control and adaptive motion control.
What's new? The robot and its brand-new E-touch V controller, making their debut at NPE2018. At the show, an FRA robot will be in operation in four booths, including Yushin's. At booth W911, an FRA model will be working alongside a Toyo Si110-6 press from Toyo/Maruka U.S.A., Lee's Summit, Mo.; at booth W923, an FRA model will be displayed along with an FNX220IV injection molding machine from Nissei, Anaheim, Calif.; and at booth W1363, one of the robots will be working with a TiA20S press from Toshiba Machine Co., Elk Grove Village, Ill.
Benefits Faster cycle times, flexibility and ease of use. The FRA robots are capable of operations beyond just pick-and-place, such as inspection, assembly and packaging, and can easily be integrated with downstream equipment. Compared to their predecessors, the FRA robots are 10 percent faster. Also, the programming functions and ergonomic new controller have been designed to be user-friendly, with the controller employing tap and swipe features similar to those used by smartphones and tablets. The controller groups frequently used functions together in one screen and offers a split-screen layout, which makes programming easier and eliminates the need to switch between screens.
