This Paxton system removes particulates from the surfaces of molds and parts, such as PET bottles.

Ionized-air system Using an ionizing bar and air knives, this Paxton system removes particulates from the surfaces of molds and parts, such as PET bottles. Units capable of producing flow rates ranging from 100 cubic feet per minute to 1,500 cubic feet per minute are available with blowers ranging from 3 horsepower (hp) to 20 hp. Air knives and nozzle manifolds come in 304 stainless steel in varying lengths, from 1 foot to 10 feet.

What's new? Increased blower efficiency. When the ionized-air system originally was introduced, the blowers ran at about 65 percent efficiency; they now top out at about 80 percent.

Benefits Improved part and mold quality.
