VXelements Creaform has updated the metrology software platform that powers its 3-D inspection technologies, including its coordinate measuring systems. The company's products can be used for both design and inspection applications.
What's new? The release of Version 6.0 in May. Upgrades have been made to both VXinspect, for Creaform's 3-D inspection software, and VXmodel, the company's scan-to-CAD software.
Benefits Fast, very accurate metrology results, and even greater capabilities for inspection, reverse-engineering and rapid prototyping. With the improvements, users can transfer data from VXmodel directly to third-party software and better manage projects requiring multiple stereolithography, or STL, files. Improvements to VXinspect make it easy for users to create color-coded maps representing all three dimensions of an object, and they provide faster and more complete inspection results.
