LMS linear motors These Etel motors are ideal for any applications that use a linear movement that requires a very small footprint. This makes them suited for use in the injection head of a blow molding machine. Etel is a subsidiary of Heidenhain.
What's new? Expanded size ranges, announced a few months ago. The new sizes include 95mm lengths in versions with three different widths.
Benefits Greater flexibility. The LMS motors are designed as complements to Etel's LMG motor line. Both motors share the same mounting interface and magnetic track, but the LMS motors have a greater height, allowing for about 30 percent more continuous force, if the application requires it. With the size extension, Etel now offers a full range of sizes for both the LMG and LMS lines. The lines, which use electromagnetism to move, require fewer parts than transmission-based motors and no maintenance, since there is no contact between parts. They offer smooth performance.
