PureFlo Una-Dyn's PureFlo conveying system works without filters by using a right-angle bend, called a RaBend, to control the velocity of the airstream used to move pellets and resin chips. The velocity of the resin varies between about 49 feet per second at the pick-up point and 82 feet per second at the end of the line. When they fall into the receiver body, the pellets have a residual speed of about 3 feet per second.
What's new? Market availability. Though the conveying system has been on the market in Europe for about two years, it has been on sale in the U.S. since only earlier this year.
Benefits Lower maintenance and operating costs due to the elimination of the need for filters, and 99.99 percent efficiency in materials separation. The company says PureFlo improves the conveying capacity of the overall system.
