Recycling system Lindner’s Washtech subsidiary has launched a new recycling system that features a hot-wash tower and Lindner’s new step dryer, both of which were developed specifically for processing PET bottles.
What’s new? The system. The hot-wash tower removes contaminants such as adhesives and labels and can be operated with or without caustic solution. The innovative stainless-steel dryer processes the PET gently in five steps by adjusting the rotation speed for each step. This results in less friction and fewer fines. The dryer’s hourly throughput ranges from 2,205 pounds to 6,614 pounds at a drive power of 30 kilowatts.
Benefits High-quality output. The system’s gentle cleaning and defined dwell times guarantee high-quality recycled PET that can be appropriate for use in food-contact applications.
