Husky's ART 2.0 speeds heating, cuts energy use and minimizes resin residence time and degradation.

Advanced Reasoning Technology (ART) Husky’s Altanium mold controllers regulate hot-runner and mold functions, and are compatible with all major injection molding machine brands.

What’s new? The newest software version, ART 2.0. It brings users a range of updated capabilities, including two complementary heating solutions: UniStart, which balances heating among hot-runner components to promote even thermal expansion; and AltaStart, which uses an algorithm to stagger heating so that all zones reach process temperature simultaneously.

Benefits Quick ROI. The optimized heating regimen reduces material residence time and degradation, and minimizes energy consumption. Production is increased because the system reaches setpoint and stabilizes the process faster. According to the company, test results show the use of ART 2.0 can deliver 42 percent faster heat-up times while consuming 30 percent less energy.
