What’s new? The SMARTshot E valve gate cold-runner system, the electric counterpart to the company’s earlier pneumatic system. SMARTshot E debuted at Fakuma.
Benefits Fast, smooth needle movement. SMARTshot E’s fully electric needle actuation comes via a brushless servo motor, which offers great control and minimal heat generation. The synchronized needle movement also makes for high process stability and repeatability. The drive’s small size allows nozzles to be spaced as close as 44mm apart, enabling the use of compact molds.
