To meet rising demand for more complex tooling and fixtures for the plastic welding products it supplies, Dukane installed five new Haas CNC machines at its headquarters in St. Charles, Ill., in the fourth quarter of 2020. Dukane said it is seeing demand for shorter lead times and tooling to accommodate plastic parts with complex 3-D geometries.
Some of the new machines have five-axis capabilities, which Dukane said offer simplified programming and make it easy to switch setup between machines as they produce hot gas, laser and vibration welding tools.
