Quadro scanners Evatronix SA introduced its first 3D scanner to offer two scanning ranges, the HD Quadro, in 2017. It debuted the ability to focus on small parts or detailed areas with a precise inner range, while employing a wider field of vision to quickly scan larger workpieces. Its latest model incorporates this dual-range capability, while offering improved capabilities.
What’s new? The eviXscan 3D Quadro+. Evatronix completely redesigned this scanner, with a new control system for its projector optics. Its inner range is best-suited for objects from 4.7 inches to 17.7 inches, while its outer range works best for objects from 9.8 inches to 39.3 inches.
Benefits Smooth changes between scanning modes. The new control system for the projector optics of the Quadro+ lets the operator quickly switch between scanning ranges without requiring recalibration. The versatility of the Quadro+ makes it suitable for use in challenging environments, including on production lines. Its vacuum-cast housing is much lighter than the previous model’s aluminum housing, so it can easily work with robots and cobots that have a smaller payload. It has a blue LED light source that enables better filtering of ambient noise, which allows it to more quickly scan even very dark objects. The minimum scan acquisition time is now 1.2 seconds.
