CR Fanuc’s CR collaborative robots are designed to work safely alongside humans and can perform a variety of jobs, such as machine tending, dispensing, inspection, kitting and palletizing. They can be mounted on the floor, wall or ceiling. Their hand-guidance feature allows users to “teach” the cobot by leading it through the motions needed for a specific task.

What’s new? The six-axis CR-14iA/L, a new size. Debuting in the U.S. in April, it can handle payloads up to 30.8 pounds; the number 14 in the name designates the cobot’s payload capacity in kilograms. It joins cobots with payload capacities of 8.8 pounds, 15.4 pounds, 33 pounds and 77.1 pounds. When configured to handle a 30.8-pound maximum payload, the cobot’s maximum reach is 2.7 feet; it can lift up to 26.5 pounds when set up with a 3-foot reach.

Benefits More choices. The expanded lineup gives users more options for getting a cobot that’s tailored to their needs. Also, the cobots are reliable, safe and versatile.
