WX Wittmann Battenfeld’s WX take-out robot series is for use with injection molding machines that have clamping forces of 1,000 tons and up. The robots feature Wittmann’s CNC9 control system and R9 TeachBox controller. WX robots have a modular design; the main linear axes are available in different lengths so they can be adjusted to the individual application or injection molding machine.

What’s new? The WX193 — the largest model in the line — which is designed to work with injection molding machines with clamping forces of 4,000 tons or more and can handle loads up to 330 pounds. It has an X-axis ranging from 6.6 feet to 9.8 feet; a Y-axis ranging from 9.2 feet to 11.8 feet; and a Z-axis ranging from 16.4 feet to 29.5 feet. Its servo-powered C-axis can pivot up to 180 degrees with accuracy to 0.1 degree. All axes are made from steel components for maximum rigidity, and the Z-axis uses thick-walled, double-profile construction to handle the extremely large strokes and move large payloads without torsion.

Benefits Precise, automated handling of extremely large injection molded parts.
