Engel welcomed customers to the grand opening of its packaging center, where they can test injection molding production cells to create packaging.
Engel’s center comprises two locations in Austria — at its Schwertberg headquarters, where the packaging center focuses on cap and closure production as well as small food containers, and at St. Valentin, which has large-scale injection molding machines where production is geared toward pails and large containers. Available machines include all-electric, hybrid and servo-hydraulic models, and all are equipped with Egel’s inject 4.0 program of smart assistance systems. A variety of peripheral equipment is also available.
The company said customers may bring their own molds and materials to the new packaging center to get hands-on testing of everything from cycle time to energy efficiency analyses.
