Colorant Chromatics Transcend Avient’s new premier health care colorants are biocompatible and formulated to withstand up to 1,000 autoclave cycles and temperatures up to 302 degrees Fahrenheit. Made using polyphenylsulfone resin, the colorants are designed to maintain dimensional stability and resist the harsh effects of cleaning agents. The regulatory-compliant materials have been tested to ISO 10993 standards. The products can be customized with functional additives to enhance their performance characteristics and come in a range of vivid colors in both transparent and opaque options. They are available as pre-color formulations or concentrates.
What’s new? The Transcend product line, which the company launched this spring to meet market demand for cleaner, brighter colors for health care products. Avient also is developing polyethersulfone and polysulfone versions.
