CRE-654 This automated guided vehicle (AGV) from Creform is outfitted with a powered conveyor deck and features two drive wheels, one at the front and one at the rear. Each end independently follows a magnetic tape guide in the floor for accurate travel at speeds up to 164 feet per minute. Radio-frequency identification tags are used to control its speed and to sense obstacles. A clear plastic cover over the conveyor deck keeps parts clean. The CRE-654 measures 5.6 feet long by 3.8 feet wide by 4.8 feet tall; the height of the conveyor is 2.5 feet. With a heavy-duty steel base, it can support loads up to 1,455 pounds. Safety features include an audible warning device, flashing lights, e-stops and photocells that verify that the load is secure and stop the AGV if the load shifts.
