Milacron launches new Roboshot all-electric machine series

May 14, 2021
Milacron’s latest all-electric injection molding machine series consists of models with 55, 110, 140, 165 and 240 tons of clamping force that are available with variations in injection capacity.

Fanuc Roboshot ALPHA-SiB Milacron’s latest all-electric injection molding machine series consists of models with 55, 110, 140, 165 and 240 tons of clamping force that are available with variations in injection capacity. With the new series, Milacron expands the flexibility of the Roboshot line by providing models with smaller injection capacities in multiple sizes for high-precision molding applications.

What’s new? The ALPHA-SiB series, which is based on the Fanuc Roboshot ALPHA-SiA series and continues Milacron’s partnership with Fanuc in the Americas. New features include increased standard injection pressures, a high-performance control with higher resolution, custom lock-out capability for security and a standard longer tie bar on select models. Several features that previously were options are now standard with the series, including room for taller stack molds; three-stage air ejection; expanded I/O capability for automation and sequencing; and precision clamp force control for consistent venting and reduced mold wear. Milacron also is offering more screw diameters. The company said it will deliver its first ALPHA S140iB in the second quarter of this year.

Benefits Productivity, precision and reliability. The numerous upgrades combine to make ALPHA-SiB machines very flexible with low overall life-cycle costs and improved repeatable accuracy. Additionally, presses in the line have enhanced ergonomics and an expanded operator panel with easier navigation and availability in 23 languages. The control’s auto start-up parameter-change feature reduces human error during startup.
