The GoFa CRB 15000 six-axis robot can perform tasks such as material handling, machine tending, component assembly, packaging, inspection and laboratory automation.

GoFa CRB 15000 This new collaborative, six-axis robot from ABB can perform tasks such as material handling, machine tending, component assembly, packaging, inspection and laboratory automation. It features intelligent torque and position sensors in each of its joints for excellent power- and force-limiting performance. The specialized joints eliminate the risk of injury to workers by sensing any contact between the cobot’s arm and a person and stopping the arm within milliseconds. It can be mounted in any direction, such as on the wall or floor, and uses ABB’s OmniCore controller. A light communicates to workers the cobot’s status, such as standby, running or stopped.

What’s new? A bigger payload of 11 pounds, which is 9.9 pounds more than the company’s YuMi cobot. Additionally, with a reach of 3.1 feet and speeds up to 7.2 feet per second, the GoFa CRB 15000 opens up new tasks and applications for cobots.

Benefits Ease of installation and use. Users can operate the cobot within minutes of installation, with no specialized training or in-depth programming skills. Also, the GoFa CRB 15000 has a small footprint and a lightweight manipulator.
