Pronto Presto Air Technical Industries’ new series of single- and double-girder gantry cranes can lift large and heavy molds but can be folded to fit into a 20-foot shipping container when not in use. With the push of a button, an operator can initiate the cranes’ unfolding to its full height. Models with capacities of 4,000, 6,000, 10,000 and 20,000 pounds and spans of between 20 feet and 38 feet are available; users can also choose among units with a variety of voltages and beam heights. Base models have a chain hoist, but wire rope hoists and motorized trolleys are also available.
What’s new? The cranes, which hit the market about two months ago.
Benefits Convenience and ease of use. Designed for tight spaces, the cranes are especially appropriate for buildings that have not been modified for permanent cranes; a situation that might occur as companies grow but before they are able to expand their physical spaces. The electrically powered hydraulic cranes come on eight swivel wheels, so they can be easily moved. They require no special equipment or expertise to fold or unfold.
