Engel North America has chosen Paul Caprio as its new president.
Engel Austria’s Chief Sales Officer Christoph Steger said, “We are very pleased to have Paul Caprio join our team in the U.S. and Canada.” Caprio joins Mark Sankovitch to lead the York, Pa.-based sales and service subsidiary of the Austrian manufacturer of injection molding machines.
Sankovitch, who had served as president and CEO since 2009, will continue in his role of CEO until his retirement in 2021.
“It is a privilege to have two industry experts like Mark Sankovitch and Paul Caprio work together for two years,” Steger said. “We can therefore guarantee a high degree of continuity for both employees and customers in North America.”
Caprio, a veteran of the plastics machinery market, comes to Engel after nearly 25 years with Krauss-Maffei Corp. in Florence, Ky. He became president of Krauss-Maffei in 2009, and served in that role until June.
