China-based injection molding machine maker Tederic Machinery Co. Ltd. is looking for a location in northeast Ohio to base its U.S. headquarters. Tony Firth, Tederic North American Machinery Inc.’s VP of sales and marketing, said the company is seeking a building in the 20,000-square-foot range in the Cleveland/Akron area because of its convenient access to the markets of Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, western Pennsylvania and Kentucky.
The location will house machines for sale and spare parts, as well as space for service operations. Firth said if the search turns up an existing building, the opening could occur as early as late this quarter, but, if a new building is required, it could push it back to the fall of this year.
