Cushman Titan AC With a towing capacity of 4 tons, this vehicle from Textron is used in factories and warehouses to haul heavy loads. It comes in two- and four-passenger versions and features rack-and-pinion steering and a welded-steel frame. The two-passenger version has a 21.4-square-foot cargo deck with a 2,600-pound load capacity. The four-seat version has a 15.3-square-foot cargo deck with a 2,200-pound load capacity. Options include headlights, turn signals, a hard cab and various types of hitches.

What's new? An AC electric drive and the Cushman IntelliBrake system. Previously, the Titan had a DC drive. The patented IntelliBrake system includes a motor brake that automatically slows the vehicle when traveling on steep grades, and a parking brake that automatically engages when the vehicle stops. The system also provides regenerative braking that directs energy back into the vehicle's batteries whenever the brakes are applied. The Titan AC hit the market at the end of last month.

Benefits Greater torque, higher top speeds and improved worker safety. The combination of an AC drive and the IntelliBrake system increases the vehicle's range and efficiency. The AC motor also increases the lifespan of the vehicle's batteries.
