DataMan 470 Cognex's new fixed-mount series of bar-code readers can successfully read codes in challenging conditions and is suited for high-throughput manufacturing and logistics applications. The readers use seven processing cores to run multiple algorithms and processes simultaneously.
What's new? Improved technology. The DataMan 470 combines complementary metal-oxide semiconductor image-sensor technology and a patent-pending algorithm. It has a wider field of view and greater depth of field than conventional sensors.
Benefits Speed and precision. It reads codes that are blurred, damaged or placed at a sub-optimum angle. It also allows for line speeds more than 80 percent faster than conventional sensors.
