CX Series of Small Presses KraussMaffei reworked this line of hydraulic two-platen injection molding machines with clamping forces of 350 to 1,600 kilonewtons (35 to 160 metric tons).
What's New? It's more compact with better hydraulics, good sound insulation and comes with KM's new APC function, or adaptive process control. The series relaunch at Fakuma included a CX 160 V (160-ton vertical) multi-component press, a CX 35 (35-ton) machine and a CX 80 (80-ton) hybrid, combining a hydraulic machine and an electric injection unit. The standard, space-saving press can take on innovative applications via a range of KM modular options including Multinject, SpinForm and IMC injection molding compounder technologies.
Benefits More cost-efficient in time and material. It's 15 percent faster, uses 10 percent less energy and 20 percent less oil, and is 30 percent quieter than the former version.
