Tony Radoszewski has left the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) as of Friday, March 25, according to a statement from Tad McGwire, chairman of the board for PLASTICS.
“Tony Radoszewski is no longer with the Plastics Industry Association,” McGwire said in the statement, released Monday. “We are grateful to Tony for his service to the plastics industry. Tony served our association during a period that included significant challenges, but PLASTICS remains as strong as ever. We extend Tony our best wishes in his future endeavors and extend our sincere thanks for his commitment and contributions.”
Radoszewski was named president and CEO of PLASTICS in an announcement on July 31, 2019, effective Sept. 16 of that year. He was chosen to fill the position after the death of Bill Carteaux, who led the organization for almost 15 years until his death in December 2018 after a three-year battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Radoszewski took on the role with PLASTICS after a 13-year stint as president of the Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI).
McGwire, who was elected chairman in January, continued in his prepared statement, “On a personal note, I have been part of the Plastics Industry Association for more than 30 years. This organization plays an essential role on behalf of the industry it represents, and I am proud to be its chairman. We have full confidence in the executive leadership team that is in place and they will continue to lead the association during this time of transition. The officers of the board will maintain oversight and work closely with the PLASTICS team to make sure we are an even stronger organization into the future.”
