Censco has made a deal to acquire full control of MuCell Extrusion Technology from Zotefoams, Croyden, U.K.
MuCell is a trademark of Trexel Inc. licensed to MuCell Extrusion Technology for use in microcellular foaming of extrusion products.
The deal gives Censco full control, including order placement, assembly, supply and service, after a licensing agreement was announced in 2024 for Censco to produce equipment that utilizes the technology.
“We are thrilled to combine the high quality of Censco’s services with this leading technology. We have the resources and know-how to take charge of MuCell Extrusion, believing in the future of this technology and its vast potential to reduce plastic usage and costs for manufacturers.” said Juan Cardona, president and CEO of Censco.
Censco, based in Lowell, Mass., offers a range of engineering services, equipment manufacturing and aftermarket services to the plastic industry.
