    Barnes acquires Priamus

    Global manufacturing company Barnes Group Inc., Bristol, Conn., has purchased Priamus Technologies AG, Schaffhausen, Switzerland, which develops advanced process control systems for the injection molding industry.

    Scott A. Mayo, Barnes Group senior VP and president of Barnes Industrial, says the addition gives Barnes Group a suite of sensor and process control systems to offer alongside its injection molding technologies and products.

    Priamus will operate as a business unit within Barnes Group's industrial business sector. Other Barnes Group units include Synventive Molding Solutions and Männer. Barnes Group acquired Thermoplay SpA, an additional unit, earlier in the year.
