Reifenhäuser GmbH & Co. KG Maschinenfabrik, Troisdorf, Germany, announced in October that flexible packaging maker Shrinath Rotopack Pvt. Ltd. (SRPL) has purchased two of its Evolution Ultra Flat blown film lines.
The machines include a three-layer line with an hourly throughput of 1,764 pounds of high-quality laminating film. The other line is for the production of seven-layer barrier film for food packaging, lids and asymmetric thermoforming sheeting.
Reifenhäuser says that the multi-million-dollar machines will reduce costs by producing film that has been optimized for flatness. In addition, the machines offer high-quality printing and laminating, due to factors that include reduced curling of the film and optimized adhesion of the laminate.
The lines will be installed at SRPL's newly built factory in Hyderabad, where the company's headquarters is located.
