Machinery seller American Starlinger-Sahm Inc. will celebrate the opening of its new headquarters Sept. 23-24 in Fountain Inn, S.C. The 23,000-square-foot facility will feature a machine exhibition area, spare parts warehouse and space for offices.
The distributor handles sales and service activities for its parent company, Starlinger & Co. GmbH, Vienna, a supplier of machinery and complete lines for woven plastic bag production and PET recycling and refinement. It is also a distributor for Georg Sahm GmbH & Co. KG, Eschwege, Germany, which makes automatic winding machines for high-performance fibers.
"North America is an important market with strong growth potential both in woven plastics packaging production and in plastics recycling," says Jimmy Cranford, president of American Starlinger-Sahm.
