Erema North America Inc., Ipswich, Mass., will continue to expand its trial facility in Ipswich due to growing demand for recycling equipment, particularly in post-consumer markets.

The 10,700-square-foot facility will grow to more than 25,000 square feet, which will accommodate a fourth demonstration system for customer trials, says Mike Horrocks, CEO of Erema North America Inc. The new system will be an Intarema 1108 TVEplus with Laserfilter. That Intarema system has patented melt filtration technology. The Laserfilter has a new scraper geometry that allows for longer screen service life and reduced labor.

Horrocks said the demand for post-consumer recycling in the U.S. is on the rise. Erema North America has seen nice, steady growth due to the increased awareness of waste in North America, whether it's industrial waste or post consumer.

Material mixtures are complex with high degrees of moisture and heavy contamination. The expansion will begin in March and is scheduled for completion in late summer.
