Dielectric Corp. buys Centerline Machine

April 1, 2015

Contract manufacturer Dielectric Corp., Menomonee Falls, Wis., has purchased Centerline Machine Inc., Waupaca, Wis. The acquisition gives Dielectric a wider range of offerings in machining, fabrication and prototyping services.

Centerline is focused on the machining and fabrication of parts and products made of steel, composites and exotic alloys. Centerline gives Dielectric machining capabilities in more materials and sizes, and its services now will include metal fabrication, laser cutting and abrasive water-jet material processing. Officials said operations will continue at Centerline's Waupaca facility.

Dielectric is in the process of developing operations at all of its plants, said CEO Mike Esser. That includes adding technologies at its headquarters plant: a four-spindle router with a large table for bigger builds and an automated tool changer for greater efficiency; a new large-part inkjet printing machine for faster drying times; and another HAAS VF-6, three-axis large table, vertical machining center with five-axis option for greater capacity.
