SafeKey Lockout Padlocks Available in nine colors, Brady’s new line of padlocks is designed for use in lockout/tagout programs. Options include bodies made from non-conductive nylon or high-strength aluminum and shackles made from steel or polymer. Additionally, Brady offers various types of customization options, including laser engraving and key charting, a record service.

What’s new? The patent-pending SafeKey padlock line, which became available in May. The locks have an innovative, low-friction locking mechanism and a smooth key blade. These features allow each key to be more finely tuned to its corresponding lock than traditional pin tumbler locks and keys with jagged cuts.

Benefits Enhanced key security, ease of use and durability. The padlocks have up to seven times more unique key possibilities than standard safety padlocks. With traditional padlocks, the likelihood that a lock can be opened by the wrong key increases when the number of padlocks increases. Because SafeKey keys are cut more precisely, the chance of a random key opening a lock is greatly reduced. Key insertion is easy, allowing for one-handed operation, even while wearing gloves. For fast identification, keys are color-coded to their locks.
