Two-shot manifold  Polyshot produced this hot-runner manifold with two-shot flow part extraction using its "no drilling" plate fusion technology. The system is for injecting two PE shots of different colors. Polyshot is featuring the technology at NPE.

What's new?  Two shots in the same manifold. Because both shots are the same material, Polyshot was able to fuse together three separate plates to form the flow paths in 3-D.

Benefits  A mold that's half the size of a similar mold produced by gun drilling. Plate fusion eliminates the need for separate side-by-side manifolds and a spinning back half to the mold. The technology withstands high injection pressures, creates round, smooth flow paths and offers leak-free performance.
