KBB60D This all-electric extrusion blow molding unit from Kautex Maschinebau GmbH is designed for consumer packaging projects and is the second largest size in the four-model KBB line.
WHAT'S NEW? For the first time since 2006, Kautex will be running a machine at the show: The KBB60D with a 2 by 12 head configuration will produce 24-milliliter bottles. The most recent KBB model, KBB80, is the largest. The KBB machines come with quick change systems and meet hygiene requirements for cosmetic and food products. The machine's compact design integrates leak testing and switch cabinets.
BENEFITS Fast product changeovers and low energy consumption due to energy recovery during braking of servomotors. Overall energy consumption for the KBB60D is 250 watt-hours per kilogram of plasticized extruded material. The machine's dry cycle time, with stroke of 770mm, is 2.3 seconds.
