The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) announced it has acquired ImplementAM, which provides one-day workshops focused on 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies. This is SPE’s second acquisition in additive manufacturing, following its purchase of 3Dnatives earlier this year.
In its announcement, SPE said it and the other two businesses all endeavor to spark innovation in manufacturing by bridging the gap between traditional and additive manufacturing processes.
“ImplementAM, SPE and 3Dnatives align seamlessly in their mission to inform, educate and advance the additive manufacturing industry,” SPE CEO Patrick Farrey said. “Our stakeholders recognize the growth in additive manufacturing and 3D printing’s importance in processing and production operations. ImplementAM offers vital educational opportunities to explore this industry and its impact.”
