Additive manufacturing technology firm Carbon announced that current President and CEO Ellen Kullman will become chair of the company’s board of directors effective June 1.
Kullman’s former responsibilities will be shared in its new office of the CEO, which will be headed by Phil DeSimone and Craig Carlson.
A co-founder, DeSimone is chief product and business development officer. Carlson joined the company in 2014 and is Carbon’s CTO.
“As I take a step aside and into the position as chair of the board, I am prepared to provide guidance on the company’s growth strategy alongside the current board members,” Kullman said. “I have full confidence that Phil and Craig are the right leaders to drive innovation, ensure customer success and reinforce our company culture. They’ve collaborated for years on building the business and bring complementary strengths to lead the company through continued growth.”
Based in Redwood City, Calif., Carbon produces digital light synthesis (DLS) 3D printers as well as software technology.
